Stand alone is the benign scenario. The other one is US aligned with Russia and being adversarial. .

We already are alone.
Stuff we paid for to send to Ukraine was diverted somewhere else.
But, in the other hand, we don’t have any legal or moral obligation to assist USA in their wars. A hughe win.

Might be better off at this point. If Europe wastes all their ammunition on a pointless war in Iran the way the Americans did, the continent will be a sitting duck for Russia to take. Putins dream would be for Europe to get bogged down in that quagmire too.
Frankly I think even Ukraine shouldn’t be helping. I understand they think it’s strategic because they want to gain more allies and Iran made the drones Russia was hitting them with for awhile, but the gulf states can’t do anything for them and Israel never would even if they could and they need to be focusing on their own war.
We can’t stand alone. After many many billions and several years we might.
Two words. Defensive Alliance. Not offensive alliance, although on of it’s members is being rather offensive towards the alliance.
I mean, we are not some helpless tiny country.
EU alone, has several times the population and even more so, financial means than Russia. And that doesn’t even include our actual allies.
He still can’t pull USA out of NATO on his own, it’s just empty threats. Requires two thirds of both chambers to agree, that won’t happen..

Not only alone against Putin, but also need to secure Greenland alone as well before US attacks and takes it. We are in times of need and the need is for us to stand united and everything will be fine. e
Europe is strong enough as long as it’s united
The real issue is that we’d have to stand against the most predictably unpredictable nation in the world. The warmongers of the USA.
I’m surprised it took this long, after Trump was actively threatening to invade NATO last year…
There is a joke that Russia, instead of being the second most powerful military in the world, is actually the second largest military in Ukraine.
If the US leaves NATO, I imagine Ukraine, with all its current knowledge and experience, would have no problem continuing the fight against Russia.
And Europe has a history of arming up quickly when pushed. Sure, America was the arsenal of democracy in WW2, but Europe was and is competent on its own.
Europe has triple the population and ten times the economy that Russia has. They can certainly handle Russia if they’re willing to invest the time and money, certainly Russia in its current form after losing a big chunk of its army and economy in Ukraine.
Go on, we already stopped counting on them as allies
