      Ask yourself this: Is this the price we want to pay for trade relations with China?

      We were a country of values that we stand by no matter what!

      Well, it’s a lot more defensible to do it because of repeated contractual breaches, as opposed to because you don’t like their politics or the company they keep.

      You just have to read your free copy of The Epoch Times to know these guys are not legit. It’s a cult. Just keep in mind the enemy of your enemy is not always your friend.

      Canadians: Our sovereignty is everything to us. We cannot let any person or nation influence our decisions.

      Also Canadians: We can’t upset Xi Jinping and China. Gotta just do what they say and ignore the bad.

      Imagine if the US government brutally cracked down on Scientology and Canadian institutions hosted elaborate dance programs to raise awareness about the plight of Scientologists. Would you be ok with that?

      At the end of the day, Falun Gong is still a cult, and two things can be true: you can criticize China’s disturbing treatment of their own people while also being uncomfortable with platforming a crazy cult.

      It’s bizarre that we’ve already had 158 years of diaspora politics causing unnecessary chaos in our country and yet we don’t seem to learn that it’s unhealthy for Canada.

      My wife and I went to their show in WPG years ago. First clue was the anonymous Director profile in the program. The show also included police beatings and forced organ removal. There were kids in the audience that didn’t know wtf was going on along with their parents. We were one of the first out of the theatre and they tried to grab me for one of their video testimonials. I was also introduced to FG in China in early 1999 right before the crackdown. They practiced in the streets and my Chinese coworkers warned me against associating with them in any form.

      I met a guy who lost his wife to Falun Gong. Very sad story. Good riddance.
