**Videos of raped children whose appearance suggests they are under 10 years old — including the most drastic ones of children who may be only about one year old — were found among photos from school classes or trips. It was August 2022. Until then, Father Grzegorz O. had been working with children for over a dozen years. The crowning achievement of his merits was his promotion in 2020 — from deputy headmaster of the Salesian high school in Wrocław to headmaster of the Salesian primary school in Lubin.**

It is not known whether he began harming children already in Lubin. What is known is that what he did was ruthless and brazen. He conducted late-night chats with pedophiles on speakerphone. Without any embarrassment, without any restraints. Until he was recorded with a girl whom he was supposed to hand over for sex in three days.

Her identity was never established. Just like the identities of the other children from the sadistic archive of the teacher — both those from school trips and those being raped, described with Polish names in the file titles.

By September 2023, Grzegorz O. had been sentenced, released, and deemed resocialized.

The verdicts were issued without knowledge of the exact number of illegal materials secured, without a single opinion from a sexologist or psychiatrist, and during a period when the girl recorded in the priest’s room on 13 June 2022 was still being sought.

The search for the girl continued until May 2025. Afterwards, her case was discontinued.

Here is how it happened.

# The voice from the pipe

**Karol K., a Salesian catechist** living in the convent house at ul. Prusa 4 in Lubin, took a long time to recover after obtaining evidence of the headmaster’s pedophilia. He completely forgot about the procedures that applied to him.

In the night from Sunday to Monday, Karol K. was woken from sleep by the voice of a little girl. “The voice came along the heating pipes and was very clearly audible,” K. would later testify.

Indeed. It was enough to simply press an iPhone against the central heating installation that carried every sound from the entire building for the **bestiality of Father Grzegorz** to be revealed plainly.

It was 2:30 a.m. on 13 June 2022.

# “Uncles”

Police officers describing the **pedophilic recordings from the Salesian Society Convent House in Lubin** referred to Grzegorz O.’s victim using a diminutive for her gender — in the stenograms of the Lubin police we thus read the words of the “girl” (DZ).

The forensic phonoscopy expert from the Provincial Criminal Laboratory in Poznań described her the same way. She added only that the voice of the unidentified “girl” was recorded “directly” — just like the voice of the suspect Grzegorz O.

Four years later, the prosecutor in correspondence would use her name. In quotation marks. It is not known, after all, whether Grzegorz O. and the “uncles” to whom he was offering her used her real details. Those were never established.

We also played the recording stored at the District Court in Lubin. We heard **a child who sounded tired and indifferent, being provoked into a sex-talk**, and who sounded as if she had not yet entered puberty.

With deathly coldness, without any conviction, the girl agrees to increasingly repulsive proposals from the “uncle”. Including the most important one — a meeting on 16 June, under the supervision of a person whose voice Karol K. recognized as that of the headmaster of the Salesian primary school (M2).

# Karol K. remains silent for the first time

The catechist who made the recording had no doubt that **he had heard the voice of a girl in Grzegorz O.’s room**. It was precisely that voice that had woken him from sleep.

Doubts appeared when it was time to act. The catechist did not break down the door and did not call the police — neither that night, nor the next morning, nor on 16 June, when **the handover of the child for sex was supposed to take place**.

Karol K. chose silence.
