My first thought from your description is water damage, which will of course grow mold. This would also fit with the construction in the other apartment. Inform the landlord immediately because it has to be handled professionally.

I have the same question! Got some moldy walls and got an anti-schimmel product from Bauhaus without chlor but is does not work … And i am afraid to use chlor and fuck up the walls
Looks like moisture damage.
It would be getting progressively worse if they have a leak
But if it just appeared and it the same as always there might have just been a bug spill or leak that got fixed.
You can’t clean it. You need ti paint it if you want it gone.
Fire
Water damage. Inform the landlord.
By changing the flat
This clearly looks like a water leakage from above, and a massive one … probably any pipe broke during the renovation.
You should have informed your landlord as soon it popped up, but since it’s too late – be honest and tell them when exactly it started.
Do NOT let your landlord pin it on you „cause you allegedly didn’t air out correctly (falsch lüften).
That’s absolutely not your fault, way too severe to blame it on the lack of air circulation!
Warning you of this cause that’s the most common explanation to blame mold on you here in Germany 🥴
If they insist to blame it on you you‘ll need a „Gutachter“.
I‘m sorry you’re experiencing this. I assume it’s an older building and mold is such a health hazard.
This is your landlord‘s job, not yours.
