    The few people I’ve spoken to in the tobacco industry have told me the PR stance with the public is to push personal choice. They know the harms and the addictive properties, so they blindly assume their consumers know as well.

    Let’s be honest, almost everyone who smokes tobacco knows the risks. Those companies now just choose to inflate the feelings of smokers by saying, you’ve chosen this and we’re here to support you, we’ll have fun along the way (until you die).
