My biggest beef with the union dicking around with this, is why are they fighting to block the robots?
I get that people lost their jobs. I understand that is a negative. But we shouldn’t yearn to go back to the fields as peasants when the tractors can clear more acres in less time than a dozen people.
Let’s find a way to get this massive, skillful and experienced workforce back to work in ways that advance our country and society. We need more forward planning. We knew for decades that robotic building will happen. Especially on a fabrication line.
Why are we fighting it! Let’s find a way to get these people crosstrained and working at something new. Bigger, better, bolder.

Please don’t. As a consumer I want a cheap car. I don’t want to pay more just because it’s made here. Everything that’s made in Canada is expensive.. I don’t want expensive cars, I want cars from China that are cheap..
