« Rowe argued successfully that the immigration officer who refused to stay her removal last November didn’t properly consider an expert report on how deportees are treated in Jamaica when he turned down her pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA) »

Uh, why should that be *our* problem? You don’t want to go back, maybe you shouldn’t have committed crimes here. She’s a convicted fucking murderer, send her the hell back.

Who cares how deportees are treated in their own countries if they are convicted of terrible crimes here. Such a joke .

    >murders a child

    >but think of how they will be treated if theyre deported.

    ….and i care why?

  4. „Nichelle Rowe — who then went by Nichelle Boothe-Rowe — of second-degree murder in the child’s death.

“While the trial judge found that there was little evidence that (Rowe) was involved in her stepson’s abuse, her failure to report her husband to the authorities resulted in her conviction,” Turley said.“

„The court heard Rowe was sponsored by her then-husband, Garfield Boothe, when she was granted permanent residence in November 2005.

“Soon after her arrival in Canada, (Rowe) became a victim of domestic violence by her husbands“

I’m going to go see if I can find the conviction case on Canlii but despite the second degree murder conviction this seems more like a case of contributory neglance or failing to provide the necessaries of life for her roll in the death or her stepsons rather than her actually contributing to to murder base on the little information from the article.

This government is seriously broken! No way in hell she should be allowed to stay here! Deport the criminal, let her be someone else’s problem!

  6. This pisses me off. My daughter-in-law from Germany, who has two Canadian citizen children, is ineligible to stay here because she and my son broke up before the sponsorship process had completed, but this piece of shit is allowed to stay no problem.
    What a joke

If her treatment in Jamaica is any better than being chained to a bed and whipped bloody over the course of months; to die of starvation and skin/lung infections… Then it’s still better treatment than she thought a child deserved.

Legalise the death penalty, then give them the choice again. Stay and get killed or leave…

All the judges need MRI work and CATSCAN to find the root cause here.

We need to get rid of common law. A civil code is our only way out of the tyranny of idiocratic precedence.

  11. So Jamaica doesn’t like deportees so we can never deport someone from Jamaica? Absurd, if that’s the case then we should no longer approve a single Visa from there.

  12. It seems like every day there is another article about Canada giving a break to a different despicable criminal. Rhetorical question, but when does this start to have a compounding effect on Canadian society in general?

Wasn’t her conviction super controversial because she was also being beat to shit by the husband and didn’t actually hurt the child in any way? I remember there being a discussion about this because the husband had brought her straight from Jamaica and told her a bunch of bs about how the cops would come and kill her and the kids if she said anything

So my friends who are actively working towards PR and have the looming threat of deportation have to live with that but a convicted murderer doesn’t? What a dumb system we have lmfao

Canada where criminals are the victims and victims are the criminals.

This is absolutely ridiculous. We’re letting a convicted murderer stay for what reason?

Someone I know had to leave after his work permit expired. While he was in Canada, his home country had a military coup and is in the midst of a civil war. He applied for refugee status and was rejected so he had to go back. The state of immigration in this country is absurd.

  17. This kind of thing is sickening, this woman should be long gone. We need to change the rules to prevent this type of nonsense.
