Any serious country would jail someone for something like that, but this is America.

In fairness… Pete Hegseth is as subtle as Trump at a teen pageant.

So anyone even remotely in his orbit hearing him become Defense Secretary? The guy who proudly and loudly changed it to War?

He’s probably going to do some unhi- oh look… there he goes.

  9. Broker?

    A licensed broker?

Jail and fine. Registered and licensed broker? Jail and fine.

The SEC is sitting on their hands with the Trump administration. Eff them. Their job is to protect the free market, meanwhile they are watching it burn.

Licensed broker? Put him in jail and give him a fine. Martha Stewart in steroids.

18 U.S.C. § 208 is a criminal statute prohibiting executive branch employees from participating personally and substantially in government matters that directly and predictably affect their own financial interests, or those of their spouses, minor children, or partners. It serves to prevent corruption and ensure decisions are made in the public interest.

10 U.S.C. § 988 prohibits senior Department of Defense (DoD) officials and key acquisition personnel from owning or trading publicly traded stock in the top 10 DoD contractors. Enacted in 2019, this law prevents conflicts of interest for officials such as Senate-confirmed civilians, senior military (above O–6) in acquisition, and SES members, with exceptions for small, de minimis holdings or diversified mutual funds.
