      Finally, it’s happening, all those years in school when I believed quicksand was the number one killer of humans, it’s coming for us, all the prep was worth it.

      I grew up near this area, and we were warned quite explicitly and repeatedly throughout the entirety of our schooling, do not under any circumstances fuck about on the mud flats, especially when tide is coming in.

      I grew up in that area. It’s not quicksand, it’s mud flats, and everyone knows from a young age you do not walk there for this reason! The tide comes in quickly as well. You do not want to be stuck.
