Sie sehen einen gewaltigen Sturm, der sich am Nordpol des Saturn dreht. Dieses rote „Auge“ ist Teil eines langlebigen Polarwirbels, im Grunde ein Hurrikan, der nicht stirbt.
Die leuchtend blauen Ringe sind nicht wirklich blau. Dabei handelt es sich um einen Falschfarbeneffekt, der Bereiche mit wenig bis gar keinem Methan zeigt, was Wissenschaftlern hilft, die Struktur in der Saturnatmosphäre klarer zu erkennen.
Bilder wie diese helfen Forschern zu verstehen, wie extreme Stürme in Gasriesen entstehen und sich verhalten, und gewinnen Erkenntnisse, die auf Planeten weit außerhalb unseres Sonnensystems anwendbar sein könnten.

You can tell it’s a CCD camera they had on Cassini just by looking at this image. The noise profile is the exact same as a CCD haha. Love how I can see that.

Did you know the first god in earth was saturn? Some ancient religions tough saturn was the first sun.
