Wie wird Japan in einer Welt überleben, in der die internationale Ordnung, die einen Krieg verhindert, zusammengebrochen ist? „Worauf sollte sich Japan in einer Welt, in der das Völkerrecht nicht mehr funktioniert, verlassen? this is an eminently reasonable question. but Trump won’t be president forever and the next, whoever it is, will make America a more stable international presence.

Restore and develop stronger, friendlier relationships with neighboring countries, and decouple from the USA.

I have the same question, but am hopeful that America will correct itself.

  4. There is no existential threat for Japan. The only threat currently is USA pushing it to help USA in one of its wars and having US air bases dotted around the country which is the first thing North Korea would hit, however North Korea don’t have an existential threat from Japan…

  5. The thing about the USA that is different from somewhere like Russia, is that a significant % of people did not vote for Trump and a significant % of the ppl that did now regret that. And it’s about to get worse for Trump. It’s not a sustainable situation . That gives me some hope they will course correct.
