      Should have thrown money at it & brought back the originals 20 years later when something throws them together again.

      Why can’t the entertainment industry come up with an original idea? Remake after remake, always garbage.

      I like both actors, and Coogler’s got chops. Hard to capture that early X-files magic, but I’ll at least give it a chance.

      Dang, there’s a lot of racists here that just assume controversy based on the race of the new cast…

      See guys when it’s an actor from the past and the part is recast then it has to be a person of the exact same heritage. It has to be a tall Caucasian man and a medium height red head with blue eyes. Nothing else will suffice. However! A white actor can play ANY other race he wants! He can wear any prosthetic, makeup, he can have any ridiculous accent, etc to make himself ANY race at all!! Those are the rules we shall abide by!

      I have nothing against the casting, but I feel like it’s going to be very hard to have xfiles without Mulder and Scully

      “Himesh Patel (The Franchise, Yesterday) and Danielle Deadwyler (Till, Station Eleven) have been cast as FBI agents. To be clear, they’re not replacing Mulder and Scully, but rather, Deadwyler and Patel will play completely new characters.”

      Two of the top comments here are “They should have brought back the original cast” and “Why can’t we get anything original?”

      Love it. The duality of man.

      I’ll wait to actually see it before I pass judgement. I don’t LOVE everything from Coogler, but I know he at least won’t phone it in.

      if it can sprinkle some X Files, Fringe, and Mr Robot into a blender into this new x files universe then I guess i would be ok with it

      I’m just happy they’re replacing Scully & Mulder. I hope the series is good. The X Files is one of my fav series ever !

      Unlike most here it seems, I’m really looking forward to this, the more sci-fi and horror out there the better.
