Lewis is staunchly pro mass-immigration, which has been an absolute gut-punch to the Canadian worker. That’s a firm no for me if he wins the NDP leadership.
The NDP will continue to lose and stray further into irrelevance if they pick Lewis. He’s not a good fit and has a poor attitude criticizing Tom Mulcair. Even his positions will almost assuredly clash with his provincial counterparts.
He’s so out of touch with Canadians it’s incredible. He even wants to repeal Carney’s move to lower immigration rates.
He’s the kind of guy who privately dislikes both Tommy Douglas and Jack Layton. Good for us conservatives though. What a dead party.

So which is it then? Is he going to win big, or is he dividing the party?
And as an aside, any NDP insider speaking on background to the National Post is already a total hack, of course they’re not fans of actually progressive politics.
