Most lakes around both Oslo and Trondheim will have camping spots around them. And you are allowed to set up tent for two day anywhere in the country, as long as it’s not in anyone’s garden or field.

Around Trondheeim, you don’t have to go further then Jonsvatnet. You can catch decent trouts there, and there are plenty of nice camping spots.

Just make sure you pay the fee for a [fishing license](https://www.inatur.no/fiske/50f67106e4b07f86c6025614) (you can get a single day license for kr 50), as the lakes are cultivated. Also check with the weather forecast if you are allowed to have an open fire. It has been very dry lately, and you don’t want to be responsible for a forest fire.

      Skitt fiske!
