Polymarket uses cryptocurrency how do you keep it out of Canada?

I don’t really see why much would change. It’s just another type of gambling and gambling is already legal / accessible.

How do you stop it now? I distinctly remember when single sport betting was illegal here my cousins would just use off shore websites so all of the money left Canada, at least now that money stays here.
I’m not saying prediction market gambling is good, I’m asking how in a world of crypto, vpns and digital prepaid credit cards you even begin to reasonably enforce a ban on it when it’s so easily circumvented.

The scourge of prediction markets, is this for real?
Some of the prediction markets as currently implemented have some weaknesses. That doesn’t change the fact that prediction markets are by far the best tool humanity has to predict the future.
Hell, Canada should start its own prediction markets.

when i was younger, no one wanted to study in school bc they all expected to be a sports star, or a music star
later they all were just going to be crypto kings

People will bet anyway, we need to stop trying to ban everything we dislike, it’s ineffective. Just accept the reality there will be a demand for it and restricting it will lead to less protections and wasted money to really be ultimately ineffective. Instead regulate and get WELL-NEEDED taxes.

Let people do what they want with their money they earned and paid tax on. Maybe ban fentanyl on our streets first before this
