      George Straight is higher grossing than Beyonce? I know he was and is big in country but she would be more successful globally I’d think.

      Isn’t Jewel from Alaska? Like, that was her entire thing. Her family even has some sort of Living in Alaska show.

      Does anyone else feel like the fact George Thorogood is from Delaware sort of takes away from the “bad to the bone” image?

      Guys, it’s based on birthplace. for bands it’s based on the state they originated from.

      Some of these are upsetting: John Denver isn’t from West Virginia, Eminem isn’t from Michigan, Kanye West isn’t from Illinois, Wiz Khalifa isn’t from Pittsburg?

      This map seems random as hell. There’s no chance in hell Whitney Houston has grossed more than Bruce Springsteen. Even when she was alive he was a much bigger act, and he remains one of the highest grossing live acts even in his 70s.

      Aerosmith is really Massachusetts not NH, though Steve Tyler and Joe Perry met in NH two guys do not constitute the band.
