      Microsoft has managed to crater a legacy in technology by forcing AI down people’s throats. Amazing work.

      It makes sense in light of OpenAI killing Sora. The era of free AI is going to come to a close. They realize that giving it away to get people hooked and willing to pay is not going work so they are going to try and stop login money and only offer AI to people who want it.

      They will leave the web chatbots running to try and attract users but this bubble is starting a slow burst.

      The new Edit With Copilot feature in Excel that lets you use Claude inside your workbooks is pretty awesome. I don’t think that’s going anywhere. The article is talking about the free Copilot features being removed from apps here.
