      Iran has received an American plan to pause the war in the Middle East, officials said Wednesday — a proposal sent even as Washington deploys paratroopers and more Marines to the region.

      Tehran did not confirm receiving the plan and publicly dismissed the diplomatic effort while launching more attacks on Israel and Gulf Arab countries, including an assault that sparked a huge fire at Kuwait International Airport. Iran also continued to come under attack.

      Two officials from Pakistan, which delivered the plan to Iran, described the 15-point proposal broadly, saying it addressed sanctions relief, a rollback of Iran’s nuclear program, limits on missiles and reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial waterway through which a fifth of the world’s oil is shipped. An Egyptian official involved in the mediation efforts added that the proposal includes restrictions on Iran’s support for armed groups. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss details not yet released.

      Who is Trump even negotiating with? Does Iran’s new Supreme Leader make decisions? Does the IRGC?

      If he has a ‚deal‘ with one group, do the other groups agree?

      Any discussion of peace has be authoritative on both sides of the table.

      Given the schizophrenic nature of Trump’s decisions, even if Iran’s „leader“ could be relied on, Trump cannot.

      My hottake is Iran is trolling at this point. I would guess that they indeed got Trumps offer forwarded by Turkey or Pakistan but they decided to let him run aground. The US and Israel are currently losing on the strategic objectives and the pressure on Trump is increasing with every Minute. Why should they negotiate in the first place? For them its all or nothing. Trump needs to end the War as soon as possible. If they draw out the conflict this will end up hurting America a lot but the Iranians have not much to lose anymore. To say it in Trumps words … They have the cards.

      Iran has pretty much all the strategic leverage in this conflict and i would also bet that china is in favor of the USA burning all they ammunition stockpiles and on top of it annoying the whole world because of high energy prices. Iran will try to increase the pressure on the Gulf States to a point where they are pretty much forced to start to question if American bases are actually beneficial for them…
