Fact checked him on a general claim about immigration. He was wrong about this year’s projections and under estimated the last 4 years. Seems like lazy reporting, not reading the rest.

The only thing they cite is the predictions going forward
According to the Globe and Mail .It has been pretty close to a million a year
Government spending during COVID driving inflation, I don’t think there is an economist in the world left that has not admitted to it being a cause
That before we get into the whole speaking out about Canada’s immigration levels and drug police is a far right dog whistle

Uh, Pierre was not wrong about the 1 million immigrants claim.
This article simply did a half-assed research into it and stopped. They clearly had no interest in counting ALL forms of immigration, including temporary foreign workers, international students, refugees, temporary residents (generally spouses or people awaiting verdicts on other applications), and permanent residents.
Straight from the horse’s mouth, I.e. Statistics Canada, we welcomed 1 million immigrants in 2022-2023. 1.2 million in 2023-2024. And about 800,000 in 2024, which is under a million, but still significantly higher than pre-COVID numbers, considering housing builds are about half that.
I would not say Pierre is spreading misinformation if he says Canada is bringing in „about a million“ immigrants per year when you look at those 3 years.

Is it too much to expect that if the parties are trying to be respectful to eachother and cooperate right now, that the media read the room and get on board? I dont like Pierre, I watched the podcast though and it was fine. The worst thing I heard was when he implied baby formula doesnt expire because its full of chemicals, but honestly I think it was just a brain fart the way it came out. He didnt misrepresent or disrespect our country or government.

Poilievre and Rogan on the one hand railed against safe supply, (which is backed by years of research) while on the other lamenting about street drugs being laced with fentanyl.
You can’t make this up.

Oil Sand fine he oversold it
Seed oil why does he need to push back on something he probably has very little knowledge on and why would he
Safe supply we know is being diverted and it would be crazy to think some of it is not ending up in kids hands,[ 2 parents are suing the BC government over this very thing](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/safe-supply-lawsuit-bc-1.7295735)
