It’s not that they don’t have money to print out of thin air, it’s a political football. We get our way or we don’t pay them.
Isreal on the other hand, both parties are willing to print us into the Weimar republic because roughly 10% of that money goes into their campaign funds through AIPAC.

They’re borrowing as much as they can get away with, putting it into a war machine that no one is willing to stop, and crashing the world economy so the debt never has to be paid.
