      >Keaton, who was born Ben Burke-Kennedy

      I read that as his stage name was keating, a normal thing to do.

      But his wife seems to have taken his stage name.

      >His ex-wife, Polly Kelly Keaton

      Thats odd, right?

      Rest in Peace Keaton. Father Ted is still one of the greatest Irish comedies to this day.

      Ahh, now. That’s very sad. 💔

      He’s still one of the most memorable characters for sure and I still quote ‘No way, Jose!’ with my mum.

      Someone even asked Dan Avidan and Brian Wecht of the NSP comedy band what their favourite humming noise was at a VIP fan Q and A a few years back in Dublin. They actually gave funny answers which I can’t replicate here. That’s how baked into the comedy culture the character was.

      First the heartbeat of the Pogues, then Chuck Norris (admittedly pretty shitty person but still), then Michael Lyster, and now this. RIP to niche legends, a bad month or so for Ireland (and sort of the world but again Chuck Norris was kind of a shitty guy)

      The best guest priest on Father Ted. You can get your Father Stone, your Father Todd, your Father Damo, your Father Stack and chuck em in the bin. Father Austin Purcell was the GOAT.
