Jesus fucking christ, at this point a Windows update that DOESNT break something will be more newsworthy.
Time to go back to the old days of manually picking which updates to install after they have been vetted
The updates are getting horrendous. Every God damn week I am diagnosing new problems. Monitors that won’t wake up from sleep state because update makes graphics card not function right. Update breaks Outlook with Google accounts. Update resets all laptop audio to 32bit when the laptop speakers can only support 16bit. Update that causes computers to freeze if they go to sleep mode.

I switched to Linux this year. I’ve never been happier. It’s not as scary as you might think. So many distributions make it really easy nowadays.
I’ve had windows updates paused for 2 weeks and it it decided to update yesterday on reboot. Just looked again still paused.
Just use Linux. It’s easier at this point
I use pda net for internet, and couldn’t log in to connect it because I needed to be online to log in. Needless to say I’m on Linux mint now and don’t regret it
Fun fact windows 10 works fine and will be supported if you do things a certain way.
Every time I see a new headline like this, I thank my past self for switching to Linux… and internally pout about certain software devs not giving it a chance.
