Japans nationaler gewichteter Durchschnitt liegt mit 1.121 Yen/Stunde etwa 15 Yen/Stunde unter dem Griechenlands. Griechenland kommt am 20. März 2026 auf etwa 6,19 €/Stunde bzw. 1.136,04 ¥/Stunde zum EZB-Referenzkurs von 1 € = 183,46 ¥. Die nachstehenden Präfektursätze Japans sind die offiziellen regionalen Mindestlöhne des MHLW für das Geschäftsjahr 2025.

Der griechische Mindestlohn soll am 1. April 920 Euro betragen und es gibt 14 Löhne statt 12, also habe ich das bei der Umrechnung berücksichtigt.

It’s pretty pointless imo as these cross currency comparisons rely largely on the exchange rate. The yen had double the value against the Euro 15 years ago, which would put the Japanese minimum wage twice that of Greece.
Japan’s minimum wage has been growing exponentially in the last 4 years, faster than any period in the last 40 years. But when converted to other currencies, it looks like no to little growth.
Japan is doomed. Like developing country now.
