A federal judge ruled Friday that the Pentagon’s new policy restricting press access violates the First Amendment, siding with The New York Times.
“The Court recognizes that national security must be protected, the security of our troops must be protected, and war plans must be protected,” U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman wrote in his 40-page ruling.
“But especially in light of the country’s recent incursion into Venezuela and its ongoing war with Iran, it is more important than ever that the public have access to information from a variety of perspectives about what its government is doing,” he continued.

The Big Dance has got me thinking. We already have NIL for politicians. I think it’s time to add foul penalties to the US Constitution for violations. Foul resets at the end of every 4 year term. I am pretty sure we are in Double Bonus by now, so two Special Elections for GOP Senators. Technical Fouls, say for unlawful wars, lose a Supreme Court Justice seat.
