First stab: Alaska and Hawaii are states, so 1959 or later. There is no Arches NP, so before 1971.
Cape Kennedy, so late 1963 at the earliest.
What’s the significance of making some of the states water-colored?

Missing Enid Lake in Mississippi where the dam was completed in 1952. Also no Ross Barnett Reservoir which would have been pooled around 1965.

They also misspelled capital as “capitol”. The city is the “capital”. The building that houses the legislature is the “capitol” .
