Posts showing this vid started popping up on X about an hour ago. Here’s where I first saw it [https://x.com/clashreport/status/2035370174610632828?s=20](https://x.com/clashreport/status/2035370174610632828?s=20)
Consensus seems to be (assuming it is in fact new and not old/training footage we haven’t been able to dig up yet) it’s the US, who else would it be, although a lot of pro-regime accounts are also claiming this is Iran showcasing new weapons and they’re striking Cyprus and Turkey for their relations with the US. Will let people draw their own conclusions on that one.
failed missle lanch it looks like. whose?
I’m an idiot. I am a dumb fuck.
My first thought was, ooooo I hope they get closer so I can see the launches!
There is no ‚North Cyprus‘ only the occupied part.
Are we sure it’s a submarine and not just a ship beyond the horizon?
Did Turkey send those fighters to northern Cyprus a few days back? I totally forgot about that threat with everything going on
As expected, one of 4 Ohio class SSGNs, probably the *Florida* or *Georgia,* was in the Med. Off Cyprus (1580-1600 km from Tehran) makes more sense as a deployment area than near the *Ford* CSG (cruising near Israel) or *Lincoln* CSG (cruising in the Arabian Sea off Oman).
These aren’t going to pass through the Suez canal and lose their concealment. Its only 10,000 km for the *Florida* or *Georgia* from Kings Bay, GA to the East Med.
It would be 19,000 km for the *Ohio* or *Michigan* from Kitsap, WA to the Arabian Sea. At 20 kts per hour, that’s 22 days just to get into position.
The caption say missiles “retrieved from the sea.” Translation error? Are these missiles being launched or missiles hitting the ocean?
Tomahawk I assume. Or nukes? Haha
Not many people get to see that view in person. Those fisherman will have some tales to tell back at home.
