Nuclear energy: good for the environment due to having zero emissions and having relatively small land footprints, when done safely with heavy regulation (because, let’s be real, no corporation operates with safety in mind without being forced to).

They’re gonna make nuclear reactors without following any regulations, there’s gonna be some horrible disaster ala Chernobyl and we will get another 50 years of anti nuclear sentiment and then they’ll go back to promoting good ol‘ ’safe‘ coal.

If I remember correctly, DOGE fired a whole bunch of folks responsible for the management and logistics of the U.S.’s nuclear arsenal. And then the government had to rush and hire them all back. I wouldn’t trust DOGE to watch grass grow.
