Jungs, was ist heute Abend mit Mond und Sonne los? Ich bin unten in Offaly und es sieht so aus, als ob die Sonne immer noch scheint, aber bedeckt ist. So wie eine Sonnenfinsternis aussehen würde, aber ich würde erwarten, dass die Sonne westlich von mir untergeht.
Werde ich verrückt? Das Bild ist von draußen vor 2 Minuten.

I think what you’re trying to describe is that you can see a faint outline of the entire moon, even though just a thin crescent is illuminated.
This is actually caused by “earthshine” – light from the sun bouncing off Earth and illuminating the moon. You can only really see it on a very clear night with a very extreme waxing or waning crescent or a new moon. Tonight it’s waxing with only 3% illumination.
First time looking at the moon?
Don’t worry, I know someone in her 30s that found out that the moon can be up and visible during the day.
The sun and the moon are entirely different bodies.
