Sorry everyone. Together with the rest of Hungarians we’ll kick Orban out of power in 22 days.

Hungary is such a stain on the EU.

Haven’t read the article but looking at the image, it’s again Orban being a menace to Ukraine because „mUh RuzziAn gAss!“, right?

Since we are living in an age of barbarism, I understand Europe’s decision.

Orban’s a POS… and guess who’s got NO problems with the guy (hint: it’s orange)

Hungary is on the lower end in terms of GDP among EU countries. They also receive more money in subsidies than they pay in to the union. The level of obstruction and cooperation they have with Russia is mind boggling. Something needs to be done about this

Kick Hungary out of EU. Nobody wants them till they get rid of that Putin cock lover
SomeDumbGamer on
I honestly don’t know why they don’t just say fuck the rules at this point and kick them out.
Like it’s pretty god damn obvious what’s going on here. The Euros are going to beaurocratize themselves into kowtowing to Russia because they refuse to just bite the bullet.
h3r3andth3r3 on
It’s quite clear that the Russia is exploiting one of the fundamental weaknesses of the EU. All it takes is one head of state from one EU member to repeat the same scenario after Orban. This isn’t going to bode well in the medium to long term.

Nice. Ukraine is sending terrorists to India. Don’t fund a terrorists country.

I’m not sure I want an EU where the big guys (Germany, France) have veto power over smaller players.

I really don’t understand why they don’t just send it anyway. At a certain point, playing nice and above board doesn’t work when you have a 5th column.

So Hungary block aid, US drops sanctions on oil
Looks like everything’s coming up Putin
Dvulture on
Can’t the individual countries send aid as themselves, instead of as being the EU? Just hash out how much it is per country and do it. As much as they are an economic block, they are still sovereign, right?
Fragglesmurfbutt on
Don’t worry Ukraine, you still have the UK in Europe who will not stop supporting you.

I think EU need to learn that going “according to the books” have its endpoints as well. EU is banking in Orban losing the election, but they may underestimate how a dictator will cling to their power, especially a dictator that is learning from Putin.
Just send the money, deal with the consequences later. This is what the major powers are doing anyway.
EU also needs a rule that their members can be voted out by the vote of other members.
Bizzlebanger on
Fuck Orban, he’s as useless as a tit on a boar.

Even if Hungary elects someone else, Russia already has another useful idiot in Fico

Give aid from directly from individual EU countries instead.

Well guess it’s time for another Trianon; eventually Hungary will just be a couple of disconnected blocks in Pest

After a few years, I think the EU actually doesn’t want to help Ukraine and is just an excuse.

the EU is totally not fit for purpose when it comes to asserting itself. all very well saying Orban will be gone soon, but this is a structural issue.
federalise or die.

EU must be tough for a minute, and tell Hungarians: kick Orbán or being kicked from the EU.
SunMachiavelliTzu on
I guess it is time to scale back the EU. Dismantle this digrace. Most of the former East-Block countries should never have been allowed full EU membership. They should also be kicked out of Shengen. Restart the EU from the core. Put much stronger demands on memebership and have a mechanism to kick out / freeze membership for those who act against the interests of the EU.
