Spoiler alert: it’s all AI slop, that’s the underlying technology and that’s what you signed up for when you turned on DLSS for the first time

They “rebel” eh? Handful of tech sites and Reddit posts not GPUs burning in the street.

“If that was shown as a next-gen hardware reveal and not “AI” you guys would be going nuts”
LMAO. So… if you lied to us we’d like it?

So turn it the fuck off and stop bugging us with insufferable whining.
No one is forced to use it, not the gamers, not the publishers, it’s entirely fucking optional.

Honestly, I think the after photos in these comparisons look better. A bit brighter, a bit more detailed. It’s also early beta so I expect things to get cleaned up. Sometimes it’s difficult to judge these tools because everything is „slop“ now, so objective opinion is few and far between.

I wasn’t a fan of RE requiem, the material swap seemed to be acting a bit weird. I didn’t mind it in Starfield, it seemed to improve the characters quite a bit. One thing i noticed is it kept pretty minuscule details like the one character having a mole on her cheek and her eyebrows stayed the same. Obviously people wont like it because it may not be the artists intent and thats fine. It’s completely optional and even has granular control.

This could’ve been great if they didn’t rushed it and completely skipped the chance to fine-tune the styling for each game.
Apart from the obvious. I’ve noticed stuff in the background did look better. Metal surfaces, glass, plants etc etc.
But when it come to the faces, they really need to respect the character’s look rather than slapping „hollywood“ makeup on them, which drastically changed how they look.
Stupid Nvidia… always rushing things.

AI hate is great because the more it’s criticized the better it becomes.
Want to create software that detects AI use, something similar to antivirus services? Well it’ll need AI to work lol
When civilization finally ends, it’ll be AI fighting AI for eternity.

They sure are, sending death threats to anyone who dares report on it at a technical level and not exclusively just shit on it to the point that Digital Foundry had to make a video apologizing for covering it at all. Very capital G Gamer behavior.

it’s truely appreciating how gamers are not saying anything about graphics, they are just rejecting the feeling which they use to get when the games used to feel too real

I can’t afford to be upset about this when I can’t afford a graphics card, let alone a new PC that would even let me run DLSS 5.

All you need is 2 5090 one for the game the other to run the AI filter.
Just so all your games look the same with an Instagram filter.
