It is so annoying when these graphs say Europeans like it’s the full thing but it’s about the EU, that’s not the same thing as Europe

I wonder how the data would change if the question was when both parents have full time employment

What about if the father has a full time job?
wingspantt on
It’s interesting, because I wonder if it assumes there is a father, and that the father has a fulltime job.
For isntance, if a woman is a single mother, most people I think would agree her child does better if she has a full time job than if she’s unemployed and homeless.
Or if the father has no job, is it better for both to have no full-time job?
We have to see how the question was worded.

Just shows what crap parental leave and kindergarten coverage non-Nordics have.

I mean, I’m a father and my family life suffers because I have a job.. same thing for my wife. I’m not sure how can so many people think otherwise ?? I’m not saying we’re miserable or anything but our family life would be much better if we didnt have to work so much.

whose family life doesn’t suffer having a fulltime job???

Family life suffers far more when only one parent work. Wage is not high enough.

But to survive this inflation, you need both parents to work ?

Once again a terrible map

The colors and binning of this map is very odd. Bivariate was an interesting choice when 0 is not the midpoint

I mean isn’t this just objectively true though? The more hours someone spends working, the less time they’re going to have with their family. Isn’t this just… basic math?

Working is shite hardly news

Nice, proud of my country in this regard. It’s correct. Also my wife doesn’t work and if she did I can’t imagine how we would manage
