I would read it as „lat czterdzieści osiem mająca“ which translates roughly to „at the age of fourty eight being“ – an older way of constructing sentences. I cannot be sure about the „eight“ part though because it’s what I read when I glance at it, but really cannot decipher it with closer look any better.
