YVRs not terrible but I’ve definitely been in a lot more than 10 airports better than YVR

I find it funny that most drug trafficking makes it out of here. How convenient

Ranked best in North America isn’t really surprising, YVR has held that title for years. IMHO, it’s only the international gates and the international arrival experience that’s competitive, the domestic gates are at best average or below average even by North American airport standards.
Furthermore, a lot of American airports are catching up and many that were previously the punchline of many aviation jokes e.g. Newark, LaGuardia, have gone through massive renovations to at least some of their terminals to become objectively good airports.
But 10th in the world? Someone at Skytrax was smoking something or they’ve only surveyed people that haven’t stepped off the North American continent. I can think of at least 20 airports, all in Asia or Europe, off the top of my head that are better than YVR.
(Although, this is the same ranking that puts Paris CDG at #6, Rome Fiumicino at #7, Istanbul at #8, Amsterdam Schiphol at #17, so take it with a spoonful of salt).

And yet … Toronto Pearson International Airport ranked worst in North America. And its well deserved.

Yeah, but top 5-6 is like 10 level above, and top 1 is 100 level above in Changqi

I don’t understand the hype personally. Apart from the easy access to the SkyTrain, it’s just meh.
