You can say the Iranian regime is horribly oppressive of the Iranian people while also saying that Israel and the US are the aggressors.   NATO has no obligation to help in the case of an illegal war where US is one of the aggressors.

* 67% of Canadians said Ottawa should remain neutral and not support either side, while a quarter of respondents said the government of Canada should support the United States and Israel.
* 13% of those polled said Canada should support Iran, while another 13% said Canada should attempt to support both sides of the conflict.
* **Andrew Enns, Leger’s executive vice-president for Central Canada, told The Canadian Press it’s possible some Canadians believe this conflict is another “rash decision” by U.S. President Donald Trump.**
* “There’s lots of questions around the rule of international law,” Enns said. “I think you see that almost reflected … in the numbers in the sense that people, I think, quite frankly like us to be neutral.
* “But then you do have that swath of Canada that sort of says Iran’s a bad country, maybe we should be more supportive.”

If we get involved send the politicians first

Humanitarian aid, supplies and peace keepers used to be our contribution. Unless it got real bad.

I’m with the majority. This is not our war, and I don’t want to see Canadian soldiers dying over it. It’s bad enough dealing with the economic impact!

We sure as hell should not be backing the us or israel and saying that does not mean we are supporting iran either

I’m glad the ayatollah is dead but assassinating heads of government – even dictators – is a route to absolute world chaos.

Every time the Americans kill who they think is in charge now in Persia, they lose more control. Because whoever survives is whoever knows how to operate outside of American surveillance. You cannot bomb yourself to victory with no ground occupation to follow it up. The closest analogy for what is coming is probably Vietnam.

Not touching this with a 10 ft pole thank you very much. There may one day be a role for us to secure the peace but not as things currently stand.
