I already wrote to my MP threatening to not vote for her again if we get involved.

Israel and US started this mess, they can finish digging their grave.

There is a reason the Gulf States are taking it from Iran and not retaliating.

I wonder how many want to join on Iran’s side. There’s gotta be somebody out there.

    3. We weren’t informed and we weren’t (initially) invited. Trump just wants to split the bill on a dinner we didn’t attend.

I wouldn’t consider us „neutral“ on Iran in the general sense, most countries aren’t.

You can say the Iranian regime is horribly oppressive of the Iranian people while also saying that Israel and the US are the aggressors.   NATO has no obligation to help in the case of an illegal war where US is one of the aggressors.

You mean the proxy war against China and Russia which the .mainstream media fails to mention.

    6. **In Brief:**

      * **A new Leger poll suggests most Canadians believe the government of Canada should remain neutral, while one in four say Canada should support the United States and Israel in their attacks on Iran.**
      * 67% of Canadians said Ottawa should remain neutral and not support either side, while a quarter of respondents said the government of Canada should support the United States and Israel.
      * 13% of those polled said Canada should support Iran, while another 13% said Canada should attempt to support both sides of the conflict.
      * **Andrew Enns, Leger’s executive vice-president for Central Canada, told The Canadian Press it’s possible some Canadians believe this conflict is another “rash decision” by U.S. President Donald Trump.**
      * “There’s lots of questions around the rule of international law,” Enns said. “I think you see that almost reflected … in the numbers in the sense that people, I think, quite frankly like us to be neutral.
      * “But then you do have that swath of Canada that sort of says Iran’s a bad country, maybe we should be more supportive.”

Humanitarian aid, supplies and peace keepers used to be our contribution. Unless it got real bad.

    8. Majority people are still sane. Though, it is not enough majority level to feel comfortable

I’m with the majority. This is not our war, and I don’t want to see Canadian soldiers dying over it. It’s bad enough dealing with the economic impact!

    10. We sure as hell should not be backing the us or israel and saying that does not mean we are supporting iran either

Let them eat each other, they are all part of the core problem.

    11. I’m glad the ayatollah is dead but assassinating heads of government – even dictators – is a route to absolute world chaos.

Every time the Americans kill who they think is in charge now in Persia, they lose more control. Because whoever survives is whoever knows how to operate outside of American surveillance. You cannot bomb yourself to victory with no ground occupation to follow it up. The closest analogy for what is coming is probably Vietnam.

Not touching this with a 10 ft pole thank you very much. There may one day be a role for us to secure the peace but not as things currently stand.

    12. Something needed to be done with Iran. Didn’t have to be war. Why didn’t the US engage in talks with other countries before doing something so catastrophic? This is just ridiculous. Severe sanctions would be the way to go. Stop buying Iranian oil as well. But we all know that will never happen.

      >while another 13 per cent said Canada should attempt to support both sides of the conflict.

So we always come out on top

    14. Half of all people are cowardly and stupid too. If this carries on or Iran gets the upper hand and hits more civilian targets it will be WW3, and then we will be involved like it or not
