yeah. no shit. one of the most meandering shows ever. It’s bad, just very badly written sci-fi

I take solace from the fact they had no idea what to do with Walt’s machine gun. They set that up with no idea how to pay it off, and figured that shit out.

My guess is they’ll have to shake things up pretty radically, like when you’ve written yourself into a corner, set the room on fire level stuff

A great twist would be they gave her the weapon but concealed that it has been rendered inert somehow.

  4. I mean if you read all the context, hes saying they had a plan but when they got into it, they weren’t so sure.

In other words, they are you know writing

When you write you can make an outline. But you can deviate from that outline. And you should if it feels right.

That’s what it sounds like to me anyway.

  5. I think Vince intentionally paints himself and his writers into corners which forces them to come up with super creative ways for characters to get out of situations. It worked for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, so I have faith in him here, too. (Although I do wish we didn’t have to wait sooo long.)

This trash bag of a show has made me lose all respect for this man and he just keeps talking and making it worse.

And that’s why I don’t feel like watching the show, bunch of improvise fools.

I’ll watch it whenever it exists, but would of course prefer sooner than later =) The suggestion of 2028 being more likely than 2027 is a bummer, I’ll admit.

The idea of it just sitting in the driveway unaddressed for the rest of the series would be pretty hilarious. Like a dang lawn gnome lol

Vince Gilligan is a smart guy, and it’s not like it needs to payoff in season 2.

I was happy that he put a nice bow on the season without knowing he’d get a shot at another.

So many shows are written like they’re going to get 10 seasons and only get 1 off. Pluribus left us in a good spot.

Why is he telling people this shit? Just come up something for the next season and act like it was all planned out from the start

Those are some words you genuinely don’t wanna hear from the creator of a show that you previously enjoyed. It has no point, I was just making it up as I went along. Not inspiring but what do I know. I’ve never written a show.

Yeah the show sucked. Literally went nowhere and they did not focus on lore or world building at all.

  13. And this is why I won’t watch shows until they’re done. I’m not waiting around years between shows.

  14. I mean, they build the laser the. The work is done and they die. Leaving Carol as last person on earth, never to see another human ever again.

I don’t like the pacing of this show at all. Then again I thought there were too many dead zones in his other shows as well. Part of the reason I don’t have any Gilligan shows in my top 5

  16. I’m using this as ammo to continue to defend Lost. You don’t have to plan everything out for it to be good

Oof… this is to prepare us for a season of throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks.

  18. BobBeerburger on

I watched every episode. I have no clue what he’s talking about… that’s how much I liked it.

Cool premise, but I don’t know how much mileage you can get out of it.

Whenever it comes out, we know it’ll be before RR Martin completes Winds of Winter

It’s ok – I thought it was a perfect 1 season show, but would be lucky to see a second season.

I usually wait until the show finishes so I can hear about how badly they shit the bed with the ending

  22. Chimmychimm on

The show always felt like it didn’t know where it was going. Nice to see it confirmed.

IIRC that on the Pluribus podcast he said that Apple wanted a bigger ending so he gave her a bomb. Just put it in the guest bedroom and ignore it.
