  1. Wonder how many countries will comply with this? If several get on board this could get interesting

1 Yuan = .14 of a dollar. If it goes much higher than that the Chinese export market will collapse. Yuan is a worthless currency on purpose, can’t see China wanting to change that.

    Expected.

The Iranians have figured out that regardless of whatever is bombed they have a stranglehold on the strait. The US cant stop them without boots on the ground. So unless that happens the strait just became part of Irans territorial waters.

If Trump chickens out or doesn’t completely end the regime this will be the new norm and Iran will have huge leverage on the global economy. If Trump sends troops in it will be another decades long bloodbath. There isn’t a win scenario here for the US.

  4. The destruction of the US dollar will be the biggest legacy of Trump, assuming it’s not the destruction of democracy.

What we probably need here is another „Peace Board“

    Donnie… do your corruption thing…

  6. Uh…Wouldn’t this be GOOD for countries like South Korea? The won to dollar exchange rate is awful. It’s probably cheaper to trade in yuan lol

Loss of reserve currency status is what, like stage 5 of 7 in the empire collapse model right?

  8. The actual cargo from all ports must be traded in yuan? Or they are charging a passage fee in yuan?

None of y’all seemed to have read it.

„Iran is considering allowing a limited number of oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz on the condition that their cargo is priced in Chinese yuan, a senior US official told CNN.“

Iran hasn’t even said anything officially. It’s a US official who mentioned it.

Edit: Seeing that it came from the Daily News Egypt I wouldn’t be surprised if it was…. editorialized or even just made up as part of a larger psyop.

  10. The de-dollarisation of the oil trade would be a nail a significant factor in the downfall of the dollar as the primary global reserve currency. But I still would put trust Yuan as a replacement.

  11. Does China really want their currency to get more valuable? That would seriously hurt their export economy, no?

  12. Irans playing the smart game. Starving out American resolve. The whole world is getting angry about oil prices. Forcing America to rethink the timeline or make a solution.

    1. They asked seven nations to help police the straight, all have rejected (eg. UK, France, China, South Korea & Japan – the remaining 2 are unclear, he said he asked 7)

    2. China is in a great position. They’ve been doing their own thing and now this global whisper of using the Chinese yuan for Iranian oil, even rumours will shift global markets. People will preemptively move to Yuan

    3. This is an expensive war for America, funding their own & Israel’s military capabilities to fight a war at Israel’s behest.

    4. Trump literally said ““Maybe we shouldn’t even be there at all.” When asking other countries to police the straight.

This war is a shambles, and a power play on another global oil reserve checking chinas access to oil. The self investment is expected of anyone but America shroud it in nobility and religion when we know America wants oil and Israel wants the holy land.
