      Why do they care so much about people’s names. Just let people decide what they want. Also that guy is definitely checking out her butt.

      takaichi is only following the doctrine of the cult, which strongly opposes dual surname. she is working according to the wish of the cult. it is disgusting. we are hopeless here.

      Most Japanese didn’t even have surnames until a couple of hundred years ago and many people had childhood names then had an adult one, monks have a chosen name. Sumo wrestlers have alias. It’s not uncommon in Japanese culture

      The fuck does names have to do with family unity? Family unit is all about having a loving, supportive environment. Big news for a society as psychologically behind as Japan, I’m sure.
