Loss records are a bit silly because getting nominated 17 is a hell of an accomplishment. Sinners also just broke the record for most Oscar losses
It’s a bit like pointing out McDonald’s was again skipped over for a Michelin Star.
I’m not saying Warren is bad, but her music is for mass consumption and easy understanding. There’s nothing wrong with that. And she’s wildly successful at what she does.
But it’s not deep. And the song was used in a movie for a category that is not going to appeal to the broadest voters.

She shouldn’t worry about it: she’s worth dozens of millions from the songs she’s written.
Her most recent interview was really great. I forget who did it, but what an unbelievably talented woman.
It’s kinda crazy how „I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing“ didn’t win, I can’t recall a more culturally relevant nominee, that was on the radio every 5 mins in the late 90s.
I think we need another Action Movie Ballad like she gave us in the 90’s.
