Lol Courtney love was a mess. Did she deserve all the negativity? Probably not. But she was a nasty drug addict who used substances around her child and acted like an insane person in public. It’s hard to respect someone like that

It’s a tragedy how society got Courtney Love drunk and high and made her act like she did😭😭😭

I think the fact that live through this was released after cobain died even though it was obviously written and recorded before. It created a perception in 1994 and 1995 that she was exploiting it. The name of the album and doll parts caused a lot of people to jump to the conclusion that it was all about Kurt.

She did a good job in Sid and Nancy and the people vs Larry flint because she played drugged out women with lots of problems lol

Courtney Love was my idol when I was 15 we didn’t have as much constant information about their lives just occasional interviews, rumours and hearsay, pap photos etc. when I saw Hole live a year after Kurt died Jesus effing Christ she was not ok. She slurred through all the songs out of tune off her face then threw herself into the crowd then punched her way out. It was wild!! Oh the 90’s.

Everyone forgets she warned the public about Weinstein before anyone else and experienced career consequences for that.

Look, I ate up the conspiracy theory too – Kurt’s death is suspicious as hell, but it overlooks three huge factors:

    1. Unfortunately, heroin users are erratic in a way that trying to apply sane sober logic too doesn’t really work. This applies to Kurt and Courtney both. That doesn’t erase the strange things around his death, but trying to overlay clear forethought over his actions or hers misses a clear beat.

    2. Kurt’s suicide(?) was handled so poorly, that, how could one NOT have questions? For non Seattlites,it would come as some surprise we had literally the worst police in the country for decades, and that legacy existed then, and exists today. When LA was recruiting ex Klansmen to be police officers, the people who were too egregious or too incompetent for THE KLAN POLICE of LA, they moved up to the frontier logging town that was a nascent Seattle.

    3. The reality is that the police in Seattle were so bad at their jobs that it is impossible to detangle where conspiracy theory ends and incompetence begins. And that is to say nothing of the very possible politically motivated apathy from the SPD.

I loved her and didn’t let the haters get to me. What she went thru was deeply traumatic and deeply painful and she persevered in spite of everything!
