Whether you support Orbán or not, Hungary is clearly entering a new political phase.

Fighting a populist strongman with a spreadsheet might actually be the move Hungary needs right now. Orbán has spent years building a patronage network that’s basically a state-funded ecosystem, so bringing in executives who actually understand how to audit and dismantle complex structures is a fascinating tactical shift. It moves the conversation from „culture wars“ to „why is the economy stagnant while the inner circle is getting richer?“ If the TISZA party can prove they can actually run a country efficiently rather than just shouting about sovereignty, it’s going to be the biggest challenge Fidesz has faced in over a decade.

It’s one of the things I like about Tisza: the ministerial candidates have three-digit IQ’s.
