  1. You know, before Trump, this was not something that was even in question for our health officials. The people in Trump’s Cabinet greatly lowered our standards for what’s acceptable in our government.

  2. Hmm. I’d like to hear the logic on why the reversal. What changed for them?

Wow she had advanced to 1960s science. Pretty soon she will recommend people stop smoking

  4. She is just trying to get the nomination. She will change her tune afterwards.

The all know, at some level, that they’re spewing BS. When faced with actual illness and disease, they run quickly from their wellness views as that’s not the actual life they’re living. But that’s a good revenue stream with books and supplements so can’t give up that gravy train as they convince others to do as they say, not as they do.

The bar is now „recommends vaccines for a disease we eradicated decades ago.“ And she’s clearing it like it’s an achievement.

How do you do RFK Jr’s voice in text?

„Roe v Wade is settled precedent..“ I’m sure we can trust Trump’s nominees to be totally honest lol

The worst part about this person is she is aware how seriously unqualified she is to do this job, and does not have the humility to turn it down.

They say one reasonable thing, get confirmed and then it’s all off the wall, ass to ass, conspiracy fest once they have an ounce of power.

  11. Trumps surgeon general pick initially dodge recommending the measles vaccine during her hearing but now says people should get vaccinated. Is this a genuine shift after criticism or just political damage control?

I’m trying to find a mature way to say, „duh.“

Where the fuck do they find these people?

  13. Alwaystired254 on

Hell no. I heard vaccines cause autism from you guys, now you want to sell me vaccines? No thanks

  14. See, ol‘ Bill Cassidy knows for almost certain that this woman is so grossly unqualified for the job that he’s just about to vote no. But she just laid this charmer of an answer at his feet. That now he didn’t know if he should vote in favor of not being harassed by Trump or not being harassed by the rest of America for being an idiot.

Oh the authoritarian conundrum he’s trapped in now.

  15. She’s never practiced medicine, has made money grifting for questions sources, just like the twelve major spreaders of COVID disinformation that with Trump killed hundreds of thousands of Americans.. she saw her opportunity to make $millions disappearing

  16. Nope, still sounds like every response was the equivalent of “it’s probably a good idea, but shouldn’t be required.” Screw that

Vaccines don’t stop the outbreak once its already happening. They just protect those that don’t have it yet. However with measels you can be exposed and not show symptoms for weeks and then the vaccine doesn’t work. (happened to me)

    Good luck with that one!

  18. So Bill Cassidy, a doctor, can now vote to confirm her and talk about how he’s shocked when she fucks up in two months time? The excuse of being stupid enough to take someone whose word is empty when looking at their track record and lack of qualifications ought to be enough to vote a senator like that out

Voters need to keep senators accountable for malpractice but many are too stupid as well I guess

  19. Whoof, they must have some real bad intel on measles in the pipeline if they’re scrambling to do what they always should have done.

I remember the „I don’t take responsibility at all“ speech. I was sitting in a bar in Times Square and realized I was in the worst place in the world. Paid my tab and headed straight home.

  20. It’s like we should have been doing it all along or something. If only someone had told us before.

  21. It must be exhausting being a republican. Imagine having to change your stance on everything constantly.

  22. Ooh they have people with medical degrees on their staff, so things could be looking up .. sorry couldn’t resist the jab (geddit 🤭)

She wants to get confirmed as surgeon general. After she’s confirmed, it’s back to pseudoscience

  24. scottiedagolfmachine on

Isn’t a surgeon general supposed to be a real physician who’s finished his or her training?

Why is a drop out a surgeon general candidate?

    👀

  25. Twodogsonecouch on

When you have a “physician” that cant say that when asked it as a direct question but then can a week later i dont think you can trust her for the office supposed to be held by a competent expert doctor. The quotes are intended. She may have a medical degree but she is not a physician. She has no license and has never practiced and had to leave training due to anxiety. Im sorry to say if you have too much anxiety to treat one person you should not be responsible for a nations health. We all have limits. Im terrible at spelling and grammar and i wouldnt expect to be a book editor.

  26. Proud_Growth_8818 on

No, I think Republicans should have the courage of their convictions and stop getting vaccines entirely. Nothing.

They should also quit wearing seatbelts. Hell, they should just ignore the warning labels on *everything*.

  27. Sufficient_Fig_4887 on

These snowflake anti vax idiots are just playing contrarian to have any semblance of a personality. We’ve spent decades build up science based public health, that’s been wildly successful.

I feel sorry for the kids of the people.
