      Amateur hour is one thing, ignoring the fact that Russia is supplying Iran with drones and intelligence and turning to drop sanctions on them as they kill your troops is not based on competence, but something worse.

      In Canada, we have a funny old word for that something worse

      „Treason“

      Not „endless nation building?“ What a crock. What a misrepresentation, as if „nation BUILDING“ was ever the agenda.

      The US and its allies have not built anything to benefit any nation where we have inherited and paid for „endless war.“ The have destroyed infrastructure and institutions and left the gulf nations vulnerable to sectarian violence, even supported and funded ISIS. „Endless exploitation of resources“ was and is the goal.

      If honest, the statement would be: „we are continuing our arrogant exploitation of resources and our support of Israel’s agenda, as Israel is our essential imperial outpost in the middle east. Iran is the last domino that Israel demanded that we cause to fall.“

      I was reminded of Anthony Scaramucci today. We may have made fun of him at the time, but in hindsight he may have been the smartest of Trump’s hires. In a couple of days he recognized what kind of a clown show it was and noped right out. And that was during the first Trump administration when there were still some adults in the room.

      Did he come out in opposition to the war, or is he sitting on the fence like other Democrats, by criticizing everything about this war but the very fact that it is happening at all?
