      I assume the person wanted to honour their English AND Cypriot roots. At least, I want to assume this. It’s the best probable explanation.

      Anything else is lunacy/idiocy

      Since when are „the north and south“ a thing? Do you mean the TCs and GCs or are you implying the existence of two entities of the same category that are defined geographically?

      There are many British Cypriots Shouldn’t be offended by it. Would I have done it like that? No. But that’s not on my body. Don’t worry about things that don’t affect your life.

      The British are the biggest embarrassment going abroad and I’m British! If I could renounce my nationality I would! I’d rather be Syrian than British!
