Politically motivated AI slop with almost no value. The opposite of the purpose of this sub…

    2. A few questions and issues:

      1. This is an incredibly difficult to read viz. I can’t get any useful insight from it. I think it’s trying to do too much and therefore not really doing anything well.

      2. is manipulation rated as an average relative to article length or a total. I.e. is a one paragraph article with a single manipulative sentence (1 sentence, 12.5% of total) more or less manipulative than a 20 paragraph article with 1 entire paragraph of manipulation (perhaps 5 sentences but only 5% of total length)?

      3. are different types and intensities of manipulation rated the same or differently? And are they compared to some baseline of reality? E.g. any sane person would say that calling Russia the aggressor is more accurate than calling Ukraine the aggressor. Would those 2 actions score the same? Would referring to Hamas as freedom fighters get the same score as referring to Revolutionary Council of Dadkhahan as such?

      4. is bias/manipulation limited to within articles, or is there also some consideration for how much an outlet does or doesn’t report about something? Many outlets with incredible biases don’t manipulate by reporting in manipulative language but simply by reporting or choosing not to report.

      5. have you made a separation between articles purported to be objective and ones that are openly subjective? For example, opinion vs reporting articles?

      6. have you differentiated between statements and quotations?

„A Hamas official said, „there have been more than 100 martyrs today“, referencing the number of fatalities claimed to have occurred in this latest incursion“

      is quite different from:

„There have been more than 100 martyrs today from this latest incursion“

One is a media outlet referring to fatalities as martyrs, and the other is a media outlet reporting the language used by the local media.
