Amerikaner sprechen darüber, warum die Saami als einheimisch gelten

By some they are, and by some they are not.

There are different opinions of whether they came before, or at the same time as the rest of the native population.

Either way, they have often been treated much like indigenous populations elsewhere, having their language and culture suppressed to fit into a wider national identity, and at times been subject to more serious crimes like ethnic cleansing.

Most there just seem to be angry about it, not really looking into it, instead choosing to go „It’s because they’re woke et etc etc“
