Not surprising. The oil industry has been hardly impacted by the trump trade war and international oil prices have been high

All provinces still need to diversify, Alberta included. It a rough world out there and getting rougher.
Downside is that it’s giving the “we want independence” people confidence and they’re out and about once again.

I got laid off from my job in January and it took me less than 2 months to find another job.
I also notice that there are way less applicants for jobs in Alberta. I sometimes look at jobs in Vancouver and Toronto and every job posting has hundreds and even thousands of applicants. Meanwhile in Edmonton some have less than 100.
Trump and Israel just solved Alberta’s budget with their warmongering.

Thats because oil is up potentially. I live near some oil fields and as the situation in iran progress i started seeing them go from many being dormant to more equipement getting shipped in and running in the last month
