      But kinda ironic, whoever made this. If I have my russian doomer rock/punk facts right, musicians like Viktor Zoi (the song in the video) and Kino were explicitly progressivist and against the authoritarian soviet regime so idk how Zoi would react to what Russia has become today.

      Real nostalgia. Back when Russia used to look like an army. Everyone had matching clean uniforms and rocking the ribbon of Saint George. Doing cool shit like airborne assaults, laying down suppressive fire, moving in squads and putting down flags like nobody’s business. And checkout those KA-52’s doing close air support.

      They really showed the world for like a few hours that Russia didn’t come to play. Then they all got blasted. Feels like an eternity ago.

      Man, looking at this footage puts in perspective what an awful misjudgment Russia made thinking taking Ukraine was going to be easy and how so many years later they haven’t accomplished anything other than losing a million soldiers, destroying their economy, being ostracized from the world stage and became the butt end of every bad joke.
