      Part of the logic of this administration was that Iran wouldn’t dare choke off its revenue stream by closing the straight of Hormuz. Isn’t blowing up their oil infrastructure only making them more likely to go full on closure/scorched earth over it?

      Who would have thought, back in 2024, that in 2026 the Yanks being led by Trump would be engaged in unprovoked total war against Iran…and losing.

      No matter true or false, the biggest deal is that this guy is actively obliterating the credibility of the US.
      Except for Russia. They suddenly gain millions a day with this new ‚oil situation‘.

      Here is the Iranian side of the story – not vouching for veracity:

      Iran’s Fars news agency is reporting that thick smoke has been seen rising from Iran’s Kharg Island, but that Iranian forces continue to operate from there despite Trump’s claims the US “obliterated” military targets on the island.

      “The reactivation of defences on the island within an hour after that round of attacks on Kharg invalidated [Trump’s] claim,” Fars reports.

      Fars also reported that more than 15 explosions were heard on the island during the attacks, citing sources in the field.

      The sources said that no oil infrastructure was damaged in the attacks.
