      She would in fact be an expert on fake news, since she’s responsible for much of it.

      I read an article the other day about how cults work psychologically.

      They train you not to think. One of the ways they do this is simple stimulus->response training.

      Behavioral theory says your brain associates a stimulus with a response.

      Behavioral training works best when it’s consistent and timely. It has to happen immediately after the stimulus and it has to happen all the time. This is Pavlov.

      Cults, for their part, would condition a response to an argument, and they found that it became automatic. The brain didn’t think about an argument critically if the response was pre-programmed. You just repeat the pre-programmed response, and off you go.

      Now consider every time bad press happens, the trump administration repeats back the exact same term, every time, without fail. „Fake news“. They’ve been doing this for 10 years. Consistently.

      Ahh… the false dichotomy of thinking that something can only ever be true or a lie, instead of someone simply being wrong about something and willing to own up to it.
