      So, they allow Chinese ships but do not allow ships from countries that follow the U.S.

      Trump has one option, and one option only. He has to send Little Marco to Iran and beg for peace on whatever terms Tehran demands. Trump holds no cards.

      Why is NYTimes so late to this story? We knew they were laying mines as soon as Trump said (without prompting) there was no evidence of them laying mines.

      I’ve also read Iran is actively shipping millions of barrels of crude to China through Hormuz. Now they’re putting themselves and China at risk by filling the strait with mines? The stories aren’t adding up.

      Why does Iran sow mines on the straight, when they reportedly want to and did allow Chinese ships pass?

      US and allies ships can’t pass the straight anyway due to drones/missiles threat. Mines are unnecessary, they will only harm ships endorsed by Iran.

      Is Iran hurting their partners or is this a false flag?

      I hate mines of any type so much. Some are always lost and then some unfortunate person who is completely unrelated to that conflict steps/drive into it or so ages later.
